Ronny Schmidt — 3d Artist

Ronny Schmidt is a 3d Artist based in Germany, featured in the Art of Styleframe library of motion design and visual design talent. This profile aggregates selected works documented in the gallery alongside attribution links back to the artist's own portfolio for verified context.

Across 10 catalogued projects, Ronny's range covers 36 Days of Type, Adidas Predator-RS, Balenciaga Triple S, Better Save Soil and more, with every entry pointing to the artist's original source rather than a rehosted copy. The set runs through RED BULL BEAUTY OF THE MOMENT, 36 Days of Type, Junge Helden, Styleframes and 3D Illustrations, among others, and every thumbnail sends you to the artist's site, not a reposted file.

Full reels, case studies, and contact details live at rosch.xyz, instagram.com, behance.net; this page works as an editorial index pointing toward those primary sources. Keeping coverage of designers like Ronny tied to Germany rather than a generic style taxonomy is a bias toward the particular this publication has tried to hold onto through every redesign.

Who he is and what he does

Schmidt is a 3D designer and director based in Berlin. His own site sums up fifteen years of work in a sentence about bridging the early design stage and final 3D production, and that's an accurate description of how he gets hired. Studios bring him in to turn a concept into styleframes, then keep him on to model, shade and light the thing for real.

He studied media design at the University of Art and Design Halle and graphic design at the Estonian Academy of Arts in Tallinn. Since 2009 he's taught workshops at Burg Giebichenstein, Martin Luther University and various media companies. He currently works as Operations Director for Colors and the Kids in Berlin.

Client and studio work

The collaborator list is a who's who of German and international motion houses: CATK, Zeitguised, Onformative, Sehsucht, WaltzBinaire, bus.group, TBIK Design, Uhsless and Schnellebuntebilder all appear across the archive below. Brands include Apple, Google, Nike, Adidas, Balenciaga and Red Bull.

Red Bull Beauty of the Moment sits at the top of his Behance gallery. Vorwerk Mite City is the other clearly branded commercial entry, and the Better Save Soil animated short, made with Uhsless and Schnellebuntebilder for the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies, has its own project page alongside the earlier Let's Talk About Soil.

Personal projects

The self-initiated pieces are where the urban obsession shows. Satellites transforms two-dimensional satellite photographs back into three-dimensional worlds using displacement, and Drones continues that idea. City Experiments explores the same territory from the concept-art side. His 2017 run at the 36 Days of Type challenge, one letter a day for thirty-six days, is documented as a single project.

Boat Ahoy and the Styleframes and 3D Illustrations set collect looser work that never belonged to one client.
