David Penn — Designer
David Penn is a UK-based title designer and art director working since 2002. His own portfolio documents the Jack Ryan, Lodge 49 and Rellik main titles pitches and CNN's Race for the White House and The Kennedys title sequences.
The work gathered here runs to 5 documented pieces, pulled from a wider portfolio that takes in Jack Ryan Pitch, Lodge 49, RELLIK, White House - Final Frames, each one linking back to David's own site for full credits. Look for Jack Ryan main titles pitch, Lodge 49 main titles pitch, Rellik main titles pitch, Race for the White House main titles, among others in the gallery; we link out to the maker's own upload instead of copying the frames here.
The deeper archive sits at david-penn.com; what we maintain is a pointer to it, not a copy of it. Grouping David by United Kingdom and by actual projects, not by buzzword, is the editorial habit this site has kept since the original gallery.

Where to see the work
David Penn's own site describes art direction and motion design since 2002, with a focus on title sequences. It credits him as sole artist on Race for the White House (2016), a six-part CNN documentary series made through Jellyfish Pictures. The sequence won a Gold Bass Award. The Kennedys followed in 2018 as a companion piece, drawing on mid-century abstract expressionists like Jasper Johns and Willem de Kooning.
The pitches are the part styleframe fans should open. The Lodge 49 pitch book, from summer 2017, turns gritty black and white photography with spreading gold. The Rellik treatment runs time backward, so acid-corrupted type slowly becomes readable. According to his page, the Jack Ryan pitch advanced to a motion-test stage.
Penn's site notes that both the Lodge 49 and Jack Ryan pitches were featured on the original artofstyleframe.com.
